NRGreen Power has completed
construction of four waste heat units at compressor
stations along Alliance
Pipeline's natural gas pipeline system in Saskatchewan. These units
each generate 5 megawatts of energy - enough to meet the power requirements
of approximately 5,000 homes.
New Projects
Waste Heat Comes to Alberta
NRGreen Power is proposing to construct waste heat power generation units at
three of Alliance's existing compressor
stations in Alberta:
Morinville, Irma and Windfall. These units would be constructed entirely
within the perimeter of the existing station sites and would produce no
greenhouse gas (or other) emissions.
Community Consultation
NRGreen has begun initial consultation with potentially impacted and
interested stakeholders in the Morinville, Irma and Windfall area to ensure
that all stakeholders remain informed throughout the various phases of the
project and that any issues which arise are promptly addressed.

Facility Updates
Loreburn Waste Heat
Facility
(in-service)
Final completion testing of the facility took place at
the end of May, and the waste heat unit is now up and running. Loreburn is
our second waste heat facility in Saskatchewan
and will produce enough energy to meet the power requirements of 5,000 homes.

Estlin Waste Heat
Facility (in-service)
Final completion testing of the facility took place at the
end of June, and the waste heat unit is now up and running. Estlin is our
third waste heat facility in Saskatchewan
and will produce enough energy to meet the power requirements of
5,000 homes.

Power lines connected to Estlin's sub-station.
Alameda
Waste Heat Facility
Commissioning of the waste heat recovery unit was
completed in April 2008, and construction and final commissioning was completed in
mid-August. Once the powerline interconnection is complete, the site will be
ready for start-up.
